IAH Airport Lost and Found

If you have lost any personal item(s) when visiting or traveling through George Bush Intercontinental (IAH) Airport please contact the Lost and Found department. To determine which Lost and Found department, please see below.

Please have the following details ready:

  • Owner’s name of lost item
  • Detailed item(s) description
  • Approximate date and time when item was lost
  • Airline or flight number (if applicable)
  • If item was lost at IAH – which airport terminal was visited (A,B,C,D,E/FIS)

TSA Lost and Found

If you lost your item(s) at the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) security checkpoint, please contact the TSA Lost and Found at 281 848-2957 or email iahlostandfound@dhs.gov.

Airline Lost and Found

If lost your item(s) on your flight, closest to the ticket counter or gate area, please contact your airline. Items found in these areas are turned over to the related airlines and not the airport. They are held by the individual airline. For United Airlines Lost and Found, call 800 335-2247; for all other airline contact information, click here.

Please note that all international passports found are turned over to the U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) within 24 hours. Please contact the IAH Airport's CBP Office at 281 230-4672.

Rental Car Lost and Found

If you have lost your item(s) at the Car Rental Facility or in one of the Car Rental Shuttle Buses, please call 281 233-1013. Please leave a message if no one answers.
